Well we finished packing for China last night and praise the Lord we actually have less luggage then we had planned and we are below weight! For our over seas flight we are allowed 2 50lb checked bags each and 2 carry ons, but our in country flights only allow a total of 44lbs checked luggage! So we each have 1 checked bag (each are less then 44lbs) and between us we have three carry ons.
I can't believe that we leave the house this afternoon for Wisconsin and when we come back to this house we will have our daughter! It is almost unbelievable to me. Her room is ready, the house probably isn't but I think the necessities are covered (I think).
Right now I'm taking a quick break for cleaning and packing the car, BJ is at work, and I absolutely cannot describe the feeling in my heart as I look around and imagine my Sophie being here the next time is sit in this chair. The next time I walk up those stairs. The next time I do laundry I'll have to bring her with me to the 3rd floor so I can keep my eye on her. She could be crawling when we get back and we'll have all the stairs gated, I can almost picture her pulling herself up on the couch and creeping her way to me.
I know my life is about to change drastically. BJ and I have been married for over 14 years and are pretty used to our life, but we are so ready and excited that we are finally going to have our daughter. All the changes might be crazy and at times stressful but I know the blessings will abound.
Well back to work, I might explode if I don't get moving!
